Crude: what is it?
Crude is a raw extract of hemp flowers. It's a concentrate that we obtain from the first extraction stage. Unprocessed, it contains not only hemp's active molecules (CBD, minor cannabinoids, terpenes), but also chlorophyll and vegetable fats. It's the basic ingredient in all full and broad spectrum CBD products. Crude yields distillate and wax. These two concentrates can then be added to any base (oil, e-liquid, cream, etc.).
Remediated crude
Remediation is a chemical process (chromatography) that lowers the concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in an extract, without altering the concentration of its other compounds.
This stage produces a crude product with a THC content of less than 0.3%.
Non-remedied crude
Uncured crude has not undergone the THC-lowering step. This raw material is sold as we obtain it from the first extraction process.
How crude is made.
Like all our hemp extracts, our crudes are manufactured by our teams in our French laboratory.
Without revealing all our know-how, crude oil is obtained after the first extraction stage, which we carry out using cryogenic bioethanol, the only organic solvent capable of producing a good-quality extract.
